TYPES OF BODY SURGERY
Body surgeries, also known as aesthetic or plastic surgeries, are designed to enhance the appearance and functionality of the body. Among their benefits are the improvement of self-esteem and personal confidence, as they allow individuals to feel more comfortable and satisfied with their image. Additionally, some of these surgeries can correct physical issues that affect health.
Tummy tuck or lipoabdominoplasty is a procedure to improve the body contour of patients with excess skin on the abdomen, diastasis recti, scars, stretch marks, or fat deposits. Various techniques are used depending on the case: complete abdominoplasty for a large amount of tissue, mini abdominoplasty for insufficient infraumbilical flap, and circumferential abdominoplasty for excess anterior and posterior tissue, common in patients with massive weight loss. The Tuluá technique is used for infraumbilical diastasis. The choice of method depends on the specific condition of the patient.
Liposuction, liposculpture, lipectomy, or lipolysis involves removing fatty tissue from specific areas of the body using special cannulas that allow selective extraction. At Majestic Plastic Surgery, we use advanced technology to achieve the best results. We utilize Microaire for uniform extraction and Vaser to emulsify adipose tissue, improving skin adherence and destroying fibrous tissue when necessary. Additionally, we use retraction, a monopolar radiofrequency, ideal for patients with mild sagging. For volumizing procedures with fat grafting, such as buttock lipoinjection, we use ultrasonography, ensuring precision and minimizing risks.
Brachioplasty is the procedure through which we create a harmonious contour in the arms. Excess tissue in the arms is common when there is a significant weight loss or when there is a considerable degree of obesity. Over time, significant changes also occur in the tissues, which usually result in marked and significant sagging in this area.
Thigh lift surgery, or cruroplasty, is the procedure through which we improve the aesthetic appearance of the inner thigh area. It is common for excess tissue to develop in the medial thigh region after significant weight loss or simply with aging, which often causes both aesthetic and functional discomfort for our patients.
It is common for some patients to desire larger or wider hips. This body area complements the buttock area. When the hips are voluminous and correspond to a round buttock with adequate volume, it creates harmony in the area, which translates into an increase in femininity and enhances a completely slender and curvaceous figure.
Calf implant surgery creates a visual change in the anatomy of that body area, allowing for an increase in the volume of the gastrocnemius muscles and creating a visually pleasing appearance for our patient.
Gluteoplasty is a cosmetic surgery that enhances the shape and size of the buttocks. Ideal for increasing volume, improving contour, or correcting asymmetries, it can be performed using silicone implants or fat transfer, where the patient's own fat is injected into the buttocks for a natural appearance. Implants provide a more defined shape. Recovery takes several weeks, and it is crucial to avoid sitting directly on the buttocks and follow the surgeon's instructions to ensure optimal results and minimize risks.
